Girls on the Run (GOTR) reaches girls at a critical stage, strengthening their confidence at a time when society begins to tell them they can’t. Underscoring the important connection between physical and emotional health, the GOTR program addresses the whole girl when she needs it the most.

The research-based curriculum includes three parts:

  • Understanding ourselves
  • Valuing relationships and teamwork
  • Recognizing how we can shape the world at large

We are thrilled to have this amazing program at Bell, thanks to some wonderful volunteer coaches.

Bell's Girls on the Run team has been working hard this season on more than just running. The girls have learned a lot about teamwork, cooperation, compromise, and sharing their strengths with their community. Each season the team comes up with a community impact project to help their community. This year, this group of animal lovers decided to collect donations for Kirkland's MEOW Cat Rescue. They'd love your help making a difference for kitties in our community. Check out the message from GOTR girls Riley & Ceri and the flyer from Olivia below.

*Typo on the flyer below - donations will be collected through Thursday, 5/25 (no school on Friday).

Please donate to Meow Cat Rescue! We are collecting cat food, cat litter, and more (see flyer above)! You can donate at the front entrance of Bell Elementary after school May 23-25th. Look for the donation bins! Thank you for helping us help the cats and kittens.
