PANTRY PACKS, POWERED BY THE LAKE WASHINGTON SCHOOLS FOUNDATION, PROVIDES WEEKEND FOOD PACKS FOR FOOD-INSECURE LWSD STUDENTS EACH WEEK.

Lake Washington School District (LWSD) offers meals throughout the week to our Bell families in-need; however, many of these families don't have enough food to get through weekends or school breaks. This is where Pantry Packs comes in.
Each week, volunteers with the Lake Washington Schools Foundation come together to make weekend food packs for food-insecure families. Leslie Victor (Bell PTSA board member) picks up these food packs. She then purchases fresh produce to add to each bag (as they only include shelf-stable products). She also adds substantially more food to each bag, using the food-items and funds donated by the Bell community. For longer weekends or school breaks, she ensures each family receives even larger food packs.

If your family needs support (e.g., food, clothing, family resources, etc.) please reach out to the school counselor, Brenda Yin, at byin@lwsd.org. Note: all information is confidential between the family and the school counselor. The PTSA has no visibility to which families need help. We simply work with the community to fulfill the need.
