SUBJECT: Bulldog Blast 10-28-22

October 28, 2022

We hope to see you tonight (10/28) for Bell's annual Harvest Party! Festivities begin at 6:30pm. Bring your family all decked out in their creative costumes for Trunk or Treating, games, crafts, photo booth pics, and more.

Indoor games and activities will be open to all from 6:30-8:00pm.

Trunk-or-Treating times are as follows:

  • 6:30pm - Pre-K, Kindergarten, & 1st
  • 7:00pm - 2nd, 3rd, 2/3 Quest
  • 7:30pm - 4th, 5th, 4/5 Quest

Families with multiple students can choose a session to attend all together.

This event is free to all Bell student and staff families, but we encourage you to bring non-perishable food item(s) to help stock our pantry packs (click here for ideas).

Please eat a nutritious dinner at home prior to the party.

Remember that costumes must NOT include overly scary/violent themes, weapons, or masks (hygiene masks are ok of course!). This is not a drop-off event – parents must remain with and supervise their children – parent costumes welcome!

Any questions? Please contact Lindsey Pepper at harvestparty@agbellptsa.org

Too many leftover sweets from trick-or-treat? Trade in your Halloween Candy for cash for the Bell PTSA!

We'll be collecting extra halloween candy between November 1st and November 4th. There will be collection bags in each classroom. For every pound of candy we collect, Neal Smiles Orthodontics will donate $1 to the AG Bell PTSA! In addition, the class that donates the most candy will win a pizza party from Neal Smiles! Candy collected from the community will be donated to local food banks.

Last year we had such a successful run. Mrs Davies' class enjoyed a pizza party for bringing in 51lbs of candy. The school donated a total of 424lbs of candy and $424 was raised for the PTSA - let's shatter that record!

School photo retakes are scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd. This is an opportunity for students who missed picture day in September or for those who would like to retake their school photo. We need a few volunteers to help the photographers direct students in the gym from 12-2pm. If you're able to help, click the link below.

Sign up to help with picture retakes here!

It's the last week to submit reflections art work! Entries are due by November 3, 2022.

National PTA's Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.

Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

The 2022–2023 Reflections theme is Show Your Voice

Students are encouraged to submit art reflecting the theme Show your voice in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts (note: only 2D).

Visit our Reflections page for category rules and online entry forms.

If you are in need of supplies for the visual art category, we have art kits for loan that students can bring home for creating 2D visual art. Fill out the form HEREand we will deliver a take-home kit to your child's classroom.

If you have any questions, please email reflections@agbellstpa.org.

The Bell PTSA is already hard at work creating a beautiful yearbook! The quality of our yearbook depends on the photos our community shares. Do you have photos from Walk to School Week, the Back to School Picnic, first day of school, playground pics, art classes, or classroom pics, etc.? If so, we want to see them. It is so easy to upload your photos to Treering (see image below). We encourage families to upload photos throughout the year, as events occur. We build the yearbook all year, so we prefer to have the photos uploaded around the time of the event.

Also, Treering is extending the 10% discount on yearbooks through October 31st, so get those yearbook orders in!
