Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!

Volunteer to Chaperone

We MUST have a parent chaperone for each class. The chaperone must be a PTSA member for insurance coverage (membership scholarships are available). The main duties of the chaperone are to make sure the students are safe and where they're supposed to be, and to ensure there are two adults present at all times (one being the instructor). By chaperoning, your student gets free tuition. To volunteer to chaperone, email studentenrichment@agbellptsa.org

Need-based scholarships are available.

To apply, go to agbellptsa.org, My Account > My Forms and Paperwork > Scholarship Application

Bell students love Popcorn Friday, and so do we! We love seeing the joy on students' faces as we hand over a freshly popped bag of popcorn.

How it Works:

The Bell PTSA rolls our popcorn machine outside (usually two Fridays per month) and we start poppin'. As the students head out for lunch recess, we are there waiting with fresh bags of popcorn. If students want popcorn, they get in line and simply tell us their name and grade. We then check off a bag (or two) of popcorn from their popcorn pass (or students can bring money if they prefer). If a student does not have money or a popcorn pass, we still provide a bag of popcorn (funded through our "pay-it-forward" program).

Popcorn is $0.50 per bag. We encourage families to purchase popcorn passes in advance, so kiddos don't need to remember to bring their money. And please consider purchasing a Pay-It-Forward popcorn pass for a student who doesn't have the means to purchase a popcorn pass. View the PTSA Calendar for the Popcorn Friday schedule for 2023-24.

Buy a popcorn pass!

As with everything we do, none of this is possible without volunteers. Please click below to sign-up for a popcorn shift. We promise you will love it!

Volunteer Signup

All volunteers must be approved as a volunteer through Lake Washington School District (LWSD).

Visit LWSD's volunteer page for more information or to apply. Your approved status is valid for two years and allows you to volunteer anywhere in the district.

Did you know the PTSA creates the yearbook each year? We sure do, and we’ve already started! Please share your FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL PICTURES with us! If your family attended the Incoming Kindergarten Playdate or summer playdate organized by the PTSA, we’d love to see those pics too. Sharing photos is super easy!

  1. Go directly to our school page on Treering to sign-in or create an account
  2. From the front page, scroll down and click on Upload Photos
  3. Select the folder you want to upload your photos to and simply add them (e.g., First Day of School or Incoming Kindergarten Playdate folders).

Alternatively, you can email photos to yearbook@agbellptsa.org, but we encourage all families to use Treering. More information about ordering yearbooks and uploading photos can be found on our yearbook page.

Join us to learn more about the PTSA and the programs and events we have in store this year. All Bell families are encouraged to attend!

Popcorn Friday

Get ready for the first Popcorn Friday of the year on Friday, September 22nd! PTSA volunteers will be handing out popcorn at all 3 lunches.

Bell Elementary Open House

Bell Staff is hosting an Open House on Thursday, September 28th. Join us to check out your students classroom. Then stick around for some pizza provided by Bell PTSA and an opportunity to connect with other Bell families on the playground.

Walk to School Week

Join us and millions of other students, parents, community members, and teachers all over the country and walk to school! The PTSA will have raffle prizes, music, and a fire truck visit the week of October 2nd-6th.

Fall School Picture Day

Mark your calendars for Fall School Picture Day at Bell on October 5th! The school will send out ordering info as the date gets closer.

The impact of the Bell PTSA on our school community is significant. We advocate for and enhance the school experience for Bell students and families. We encourage everyone in the community to get involved. We have room on all of our committees for next year (35+ committees, so there are MANY ways to get involved). We tend to see that the vast majority of PTSA volunteers (especially on our board and committees) are women. We would like to see that change. Bell dads and father figures, we encourage you to get involved too.

High Priority positions/committees we need to fill for the 2023-24 school year:

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Chair/Committee Help us evaluate PTSA programs to ensure our goals of equity, justice, respect, and inclusion of all children are being met. Monthly DEI Committee Meetings are held at the district level to provide you with information and resources.

Walk to School Week
- Organize raffle prizes, music, and a fire truck visit in the mornings before school the week of Oct 2-6.

Can you help? Please visit the Bell PTSA volunteer page and email co-presidents, Keri & Angelica president@agbellptsa.org, to set up a time to talk about any of these roles.

Our volunteer page is updated throughout the year with current volunteer opportunities from event signups to open chair positions. We even have some volunteer opportunities that can be done completely remotely. Check out the Volunteer Page or fill out our Volunteer Interest Form to find a volunteer opportunity that works for you.
