SUBJECT: Bulldog Blast 6-17-22

June 17, 2022

These last two years as Bell’s PTSA President have been extremely rewarding. I've had the opportunity to serve in this role alongside some phenomenal people, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished. We made great strides with our advocacy efforts. We continued to provide educational enrichment to Bell students, even with the ever-changing constraints of the pandemic. We supported our community in a number of ways, (e.g., teacher grants, scholarships, the pantry pack program, holiday gift drive), and we worked diligently to keep our community connected through the challenges of this pandemic.

I encourage you to watch the below video summarizing what the Bell PTSA did this year. Every program and event highlighted is the work of the Bell PTSA. This video gives a sense of just how vital the PTSA is and the impact we have on your student’s educational experience.

My sincere gratitude to all the amazing staff members at Bell and to all the volunteers who make our work possible. When we all pitch in and give our time and talent to our communities, the impact is profound.

Wishing all of you a peaceful, restful, and joyous summer break.

-Brena Gattuccio

Thank you to Tennile Jones, Michelle Ferris, Stephanie Whicker, Svetlana Titova, and Salma Gharib for all their work planning the 5th grade Promotion Ceremony. It was a beautiful day and lovely celebration. We wish all our 5th grade Bulldogs all the best as they transition to middle school.

Mr. Marino, Bell's librarian, has compiled some great information to support Bell students continued reading over the summer. Click HERE for information on the following:

  • The King County Library System Summer Reading Program
  • The Amazing Reading Challenge nominees for 2022-23

Good news! We only have one more position to fill on next year's PTSA executive board, the VP of Student Enrichment

More good news - volunteers have stepped up and offered to chair every program the VP of Student Enrichment oversees, so the VP will have TONS of help. As the VP, you will support the lead person for each event/program. Below is an overview of the primary responsibility of the role (green check = there is a chair for the event).

We promise you will have a blast and meet many great people. Email president@agbellptsa.org to discuss this position in more detail.

Visit our volunteer page to see all volunteer opportunities.

THANK YOU, Dawn Matsui Liu, for volunteering so many hours to create such a lovely yearbook for our community. And thank you to everyone who uploaded photos on TreeRing throughout the year.

You can still order a yearbook by doing the following:

  1. Go to: www.treering.com/validate
  2. Enter our school’s passcode: 1015269962362510

Note: Make sure to order the 2021-22 yearbook. There will be a message indicating that the deadline has passed, but that is simply the deadline to ship it to the school. You can order the yearbook anytime and ship it direct to your home.
