The Bell PTSA is proud to announce the theme for this year's Reflections of Art contest (the contest will launch soon):

"I will change the world by..."

Bell students are encouraged to enter art reflecting the theme, using dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and/or visual arts. Thank you Tennile Jones for chairing this wonderful program!

We have a number of ways to help out and support our school. (We just added school pictures and the book fair this week!) Visit our volunteer page to sign-up and see all the ways you can help. A few things to know about volunteering:

• At this time, volunteers are allowed in the buildings, but not in the classrooms or shared learning spaces.
  
  
• For in-person volunteering, you must be an approved volunteer through Lake Washington School District (LWSD). Click here to apply if you are not currently approved.
  
  
• All volunteers must be vaccinated. The district has recently implemented a new process to obtain proof of vaccination. This can be done in two ways (more info):
  • In-person at the LWSD Resource Center
  • Remotely via Microsoft Teams

• Lake Washington School District, in coordination with Lake Washington PTSA, is hosting a virtual welcome event for our new and international families on Wednesday, September 29 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for families to learn about our district and to increase engagement. • The online application for highly capable services is now available and will close at 4pm on October 1, 2021. Students may be referred by parents or other individuals, including teachers, other staff, or a member of the community. All LWSD students in first grade will be screened in the fall, so referrals for students in first grade will not be accepted. more info.
  
  
• The LWSD Health and Safety Dashboard includes data on positive Covid cases for staff and students at all LWSD schools and buildings.
